Say Yes to No (SYTN)
It Isn’t Easy Being a Parent These Days…
Our kids are being programmed to want more, more, more—yet it’s no longer possible, or even reasonable, to give it to them. Now, more than ever, parents need to set limits and instill self-discipline. They need to reset priorities and restore balance and values. But how?
SYTN Can Help!
Say Yes to No (SYTN) is a new parent education program–a series of 5 workshops filled with practical strategies to help parents raise more self-aware, self-disciplined, self-reliant kids.
This parent education program — and a community movement — was sparked by Dr. David Walsh and brought to you by Parent Further, a Search Institute resource for families.
The Book
SYTN began as a book, written by Dr. David Walsh, founder of the National Institute on Media and the Family, that was read and embraced by thousands of parents, independently and in community Book Reads.
The Program

Trainings
SYTN groups are typically led by trained parent educators, and are organized and sponsored by a school, PTA/PTO, early education provider or church group. Some key ideas covered in the program include:
