Jolene Roehlkepartain, the voice of the ParentFurther blog, is a writer and parent educator. She has written 30 books, including Parenting Preschoolers with a Purpose, Raising Healthy Children Day by Day, and The Best of Building Assets Together.
She has also coauthored 10 books, including What Young Children Need to Succeed and Starting Out Right: Developmental Assets for Children. Her books have been translated into a number of languages, including Chinese and Korean, and are sold internationally.
When she’s not writing, Jolene occasionally presents workshops on Development Assets to parents, childcare providers, educators, health-care professionals, faith communities, librarians, people in the workplace, and community leaders.
Jolene has been featured in publications including The Washington Post, Time, Psychology Today, Glamour, Woman’s Day, and The Dallas Morning News. She has also appeared on TV and radio programs.
She lives in Minneapolis with her husband and two teenagers.
